How can Hypnotherapy help?

Everyone faces challenges in life from time to time.  This is why I offer personalised hypnotherapy sessions designed to help you overcome your obstacles and lead the life you desire.  Working from home in my dedicated therapy room, sessions are rooted in compassion and understanding, so you can expect a safe and nurturing environment as you embark on your journey to personal transformation.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy, sometimes called hypnotic suggestion, is like unlocking a hidden superpower within your mind!  It's a form of therapy that uses guided hypnosis to help you reach a state of deep relaxation and focused attention.  Think of it as a mental spa, where you let go of everyday distractions and become more open to positive suggestion.

During hypnosis you enter a trance-like state similar to being deeply absorbed in a book or a film.  You're fully aware and in control, but your mind is open to positive suggestions and imagery.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."

~ Maria Robinson

Children and Young People

Having worked within a school setting for over 10 years, and being a mum myself, I am very aware of the pressure our young people face in this every changing, fast paced world.  Hypnotherapy allows a calm space for your child to understand themselves and the world around them.

Children and adolescents can benefit greatly from hypnotherapy as they often already have active imaginations and can be more readily open to suggestions.  Hypnotherapy can give children and young people the opportunity to take control over their issues, giving them a sense of power and pride.

Hypnotherapy for young people runs slightly differently to adult sessions.  Using an active focused approach and child friendly language to create a space where they feel comfortable to be able to relax and explore their feelings at their pace.  Sessions are tailored for each child depending on their age and their own individuality.  This may involve using stories and their favourite characters or super hero, or more traditional techniques if that is more suited.  Working alongside the parent / carer to support the child at all times.  Sessions are always child focused, helping them to develop new skills and strategies for growth, which they can use long into the future.

“Jayne is awesome, I really mean it!  I was struggling with my golf game ... I honestly wondered if it would work ... I'm playing the best golf of my life... ”

"Jayne is awesome, I really mean it!  I'd been struggling with my golf game and I knew it was 100% a physiological issue so Jayne offered to help through hypnotherapy.  Jayne's research into golf was incredible (you'd think she'd been playing golf her whole life!)  Through a calm and relaxing approach she talked to me about staying in the moment and visualising my shots.  Honestly, I wondered if it would make a difference.  The next day I came second in a local competition playing my best golf of the year and 3 months on I'm playing the best golf of my life!  I couldn't recommend Jayne enough - call her now!!! (unless you are playing golf against me, this is my secret weapon!)

"I used Jayne's services to tackle an issue that has been ongoing for several years.  Jayne has a wonderful disarming, calming presence and I respond very openly to her, her professionalism and expertise in choosing the correct scenarios and zeroing in on what works for me is a massive strength of hers.  She has definitely helped me improve my issue and given me tools to help me self manage.  I can absolutely recommend Jayne's services for whatever issue you are searching for help with."

"Currently sitting on a balcony, strawberry daiquiri in hand and a good book as we sail away from Lisbon.  I had a full length picture on the balcony in formal wear and I liked the picture yesterday, which is a first, I look happy and relaxed!  1st time in 20 years I wore a bikini and the world didn't implode, people didn't look at me, nobody commented, it feels empowering!  I just wanted to say you are amazing, I've loved our journey together, you made me feel ok to be vunerable."

FAQ's

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on what we are working on. Normally, Clients require 2 - 6 sessions.  This will be discussed at the initial consultation.  You are free to stop sessions at anytime.

Can everyone be hypnotised?

Hypnosis can only be done with clients full co-operation.  If you don't want to be hypnotised, then you won't.  Your mind is a powerful thing, you can't be made to do something you are uncomfortable with.

How will it make me feel?

Hypnosis is a relaxed state.  During sessions most people feel calm and relaxed.  The positive effects of hypnotherapy can increase in the days and weeks after sessions, including improved sleep, increased self-esteem and confidence and a general sense of well being.

How long do sessions last?

Sessions are normally an hour long.

Will it work for me?

Hypnosis isn't a cure, but it can be a valuable tool for managing and aleviating symptoms and improving coping skills.  Although, it is not a replacement for medical care.  It can work effectively alongside traditional treatments or on it's own for specific issues.

Will I be in control?

You cannot be made to do something you don't want to.  Your sub-conscious mind is a wonderful thing and is there to protect you.  Hypnotherapy is not stage show hypnosis, you won't be made to cluck like a chicken!

How much are sessions?

I offer a free consultation where we can discuss your needs and how you would like to move forward.

After that, both adult and child sessions are £55 each for up to an hour. You are not tied into the amount of sessions.
